## Steps
1. figure out the key statement, put in title
2. write the note in your own words
3. relate the idea in the note to your personal experiences
4. link the idea in the note to other ideas
## Things to add to an Evergreen Note
Think of the following as a bunch of "thought-joggers". Very very few notes will have all of these.
#### Use throughout
- *Links*: Make Links wherever it makes sense...
#### Near the top
- *Personified Statement* - Personify with a quote, or some Game of Thrones medieval style "house words"
- *Definition or Summary* -
- *Metaphor or Analogy* - Think of metaphors or analogies that describe the idea
- *Quote*: Don't over-quote. Only include special quotes. Ideally, the pithiest and least translatable. Otherwise, as always, rewrite and/or elaborate the ideas you encounter.
#### In the middle
- *Argument* - Make an Argument
- *Counter-Argument* - Make the counter-argument
- *"Fact"* - Add generally accepted things that relate
- *Personal Experiences* - Think of how this relates to something you've experienced
- *Question* - Add questions you have
- *Open Loops* - Add any keywords that will remind you of something to follow up on, or to come back to later to actually write.
#### Near the bottom
- *"Related" or "Catch-All"* - section
- *Wiki or Sources* - Have a tiny "wiki" or "sources" section - Try to incorporate this stuff. There is value in keeping for particularly nuanced ideas, or for ideas where you are somehow shifting the meaning and you want to keep the original handy.
- *Citations* - Add any citations at the bottom
#### At the very bottom (the "Back Matter")
- *Tags:*
- *Links to MOCs*
